LMSSS in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) helped through Safe Motherhood and Child Survival (SMCS) program and helped the poor and needy people by providing food commodities like Bulgur, Vegetable Oil and Corn Soya Blend to pregnant, lactating mothers, balwadi children, School going students, SC & ST children in hostels, HIV infected people, orphans, disabled children and various Institutions working for the poor and needy children. With the implementation LMSSS we were able to reach out 3, 50,000 people benefitted over the years. Under the emergency relief we have assisted to around 3,650 families for fire vicitms, flood victims, earthquake victims and drought victims by providing assistance through distribution of essential commodities like rice and dal and non-food items like bed sheets,clothes and utensils, help for repair of houses etc.
LMSSS is having vast experience since 27 years in women development programs. Women development programs helped rural women to develop and empower in socio-economic and political field. Women groups brought out by Lodi emerged as strong bodies and were in good position in the communities in which they live.
LMSSS established a good command in women empowerment programs by promoting integral development to the women. Lodi has worked in 651 villages belonging to 30 mandals of Warangal and Karimanagar districts. 4677 women self help groups with 63505 women members were self sustained and out of them 9 women federations were formed with 1428 self help groups having 24030 women members. The women became a force in the development of the family and the community, even winning local elections. Fatima Mahilabyudaya Podupu Sangam registered in 2009 is runing with 2903 women from 69 villages of 10 civil districts of Telangana state and has generated savings and funds of Rs. 5,94,15,892. Lodi MSSS has supported more than 36,000 women for livestock development (Milk animals, goat, sheep rearing) and income generation programs through women groups and federations and helped to enhance their secondary and family income.
LMSSS is working since 20 years on child labour elimination programs. We have organized number of programs to ensure all the target children to enjoy their right to childhood and education in our target areas. We have enrolled the identified child labour, dropout and irregular children through our interventions like awareness and capacity building to women, community, youth, parents and education support to poor children. Orphans and needy children are provided with nutritious food through boarding homes. Child labour were released and mainstreamed to formal schools, bridge camps, residential hostels etc. We have worked in 12 mandals in Warangal and Karimanagar districts and protected more than 25,190 Children from child labour and enrolled into main stream education.
LMSSS has experience in working with the differently abled children and people since 20 years. LMSSS has a strong conviction that each and every human being has inherent worth, dignity, skills and potentialities. As LMSSS concerned about the integrated development of the society we take care of the children and elders who are impaired in different ways. We have supported medical rehabilitation, education, equipment support, to the challenged physically, visually, mentally and hearing through institutional and community care and support. LMSSS is supporting differently abled children for education, medical support to the physically, visually, mentally and hearing children. We have worked in 5 mandals of Warangal district in 107 villages with Community care for differently abled people and formed 241 groups with 1976 members, supported 4 institutions with Institutional care centres. W provided Community and Institutional care for 4068 differently abled children for education, medical support to the physically, visually, mentally and hearing children. We have provided services like certificates, tricycles, wheel chairs, pensions, Distribution of artificial limbs, hearing aids, identification camps, medical certification camp, community support groups, education benefits, pensions, physiotherapy, speech and MR therapy through linkages with government departments and other funding sources.
LMSSS is working for the welfare of Women, adolescent girls and Children through Anti-trafficking and Adolescent programs for the past 12 years. We are creating awareness and educating the women, adolescent girls and Children through formation of adolescent groups and community vigilance groups, capacity building program, sensitization programs, legal literacy programme on trafficking issues, child marriages, child labour and vocational training to adolescent girls, rescue and rehabilitation of victims, prevention of girl child migration and child marriages and legal aid support to women, adolescent girls and children. We have worked in 7 mandals of Warangal and Karimanagar district in 205 villages and formed 205 adolescent groups with 9925 adolescent girls.
LMSSS is working since 25 years on health, hygiene and sanitation programs. Lodi seeks to educate individuals and communities on the importance of proper health and sanitation methods. With the help of local PHC doctors and nurses, we offer free check-up for pregnant women and immunizations for children. We have organised eye-camps and conducted cataract operations for the poor rural people. With the support of government health department, Lodi MSSS organized Mobile Medical Unit/clinic we have provided medical services to 13440 members in 24 remote villages of Warangal district. We have organised awareness and capacity building programs on health, hygiene and sanitation program in the rural villages. We have constructed low cost around 5060 low cost houses for the poor, homeless, needy people and widow women in 320 rural villages and around 4250 low cost toilets in 215 villages in 35 mandals of Warangal and Karimanagar districts.
LMSSS is working since 16 years on HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support programs. The aim is to prevent the HIV/AIDS through awareness building, care and support to infected adults and affected families, prevention from parent to child transmission etc. In HIV/AIDS programs Lodi has provided care and support through 12 drop in centres and static clinics to around 36,400 infected people and 2150 infected and affected children and provided medical, nutritional, psychological support, referral services, counselling, skills trainings, CD4 test and ART follow up etc. We have provided livelihood support to 920 and educational support 4130 infected and affected children. Through 2 institutional Care and support centres 17450 adults were registered and supported and 3 institutional care and support centres 245 infected children registered and supported.
Through these care and support centres we are providing medical, nutritional, psychological, education support to the infected adults and children. We have worked on Prevention of Parent to Child Transmission Centres (PPTCTC) program in over 1642 villages in 74 mandals of Warangal and Karimanagar district, 301,300 were done screening tests and 1680 HIV positive Pregnant women were protected with institutional delivery and 1263 new born children with HIV negative. We have formed Positive District network, Positive speaker forum, PLHA Support group, children support groups, Positive marriages etc. Through linkages provided Widow pensions, National family benefit scheme, disability pensions, ration cards, LP gas, SC,ST, BC corporations loans, children scholarships etc Formed adarsha mythri positive people welfare society with 363 members.
For the last 27 years, LMSSS has provided drinking water projects in rural villages. As there is an acute problem of drinking water in the area, Lodi supported the poor, dalit, tribal and other backward communities with safe drinking water programs by providing 2328 drinking water hand pumps, 224 construction of overhead tanks, 370 deepening of wells, 224 pump sets in schools, hostels and 150 purified mineral water plants and 300 roof top rainwater harvesting systems. Drinking water program and provided drinking water hand pumps-, construction of overhead tanks in 2750 villages and 150,000 families benefitted.
LMSSS has 27 years of experience in agriculture based Natural Resource Management (NRM), agriculture regeneration programs, food security programs and Climate change programs aiming at low investment and high production and improvement of family income and living conditions by ecological farming, natural resources and alternative income. Lodi has implemented Natural Resource Management (NRM), agriculture regeneration programs, food security programs in 25 mandals. LMSSS has promoted soil and water conservation(measures like stone gullies, farm bunding), water harvesting structures (renovation of ponds, farm ponds, deepening wells, recharge of wells, check dams, percolation tanks, , fedder channel ,desiltation of irrigation, lift irrigation), organic farming, vermi units, natural farming, soil testing, traditional crops, SRI paddy, vegetable gardens, livestock development ( Milk animals, IGP, Backyard poultry), pasture lands, fodder development, veterinary camps , plantation , drinking water hand pumps, roof top rain water.
We have reached 35,700 families in 350 villages in 25 mandals through Natural Resource Management (NRM), agriculture regeneration programs, food security programs. We have implemented desiltation program in 81 villages and excavated and applied silt of 5,00,215 tractor trips in 27,380 acres and 13,550 farmers benefited with this activity. We have promoted organic farming with 3050 farmers, vermi compost units 1500 farmers, soil testing 6700 farmers soil( farmlands) were tested and reported. We have constructed 20 check dams, renovated 10 fedder channels, renovated 25 ponds, 10 lift irrigation projects, 65 farm ponds, 1250 deepening wells, 600 open wells, 910 motor pump sets to irrigational wells benefitting around 15450 farmers.
LMSSS has implemented Climate change program for the benefit of 23,000 marginal farmers, women, youth, children to enhance the capacities and knowledge on the effects of Climate change in 120 villages of 7 mandals. We have sensitised the farmers on weather forecast and weather based farming, organic farming, saving water in cultivation. The target women were sensitised on using improved chullahas, avoiding of usage of plastic bags, usage of roof top rainwater for drinking purpose to preserve and conserve the natural resources. The target youth and children were sensitised and were motivating others on protection of environment and management of the natural resources like water, soil and forest. We have distributed 7800 improved chullahas and 7800 families in 55 villages using with less firewood and time is saved and less smoke.
LMSSS has implemented watershed and drought proofing programs since 27 years. LMSSS successfully completed 20 ‘Integrated Watershed Development programs and covered around 15366 hectares of land in 7 mandals and drought proof programs in around 20 mandals of Warangal and Karimanagar districts. With this program the ground water and surface water is enhanced through soil and water conservation, water harvesting structures and irrigation sources were increased for the benefit of small and marginal farmers.

Sunken pits, fedder channel ,desiltation of irrigation), organic farming, vermi units, traditional crops, SRI paddy, vegetable gardens, livestock development ( Milk animals, IGP, Backyard poultry), pasture lands, fodder development, veterinary camps agro horticulture, kitchen garden, backyard plantation, vegetable cultivation, animal husbandry camps, Horticulture, afforestation block plantation, bund plantation, land development etc.
We have reached 28,500 families in 30 villages in 7 medals through 20 Watershed programs. We have constructed 49 check dams, 56 percolation tanks, 114 mini percolation tanks, 10 renovated ponds, 60 farm ponds, 120 dugout ponds benefitting around 12,250 farmers.
We have reached 13,250 families in 170 villages in 20 mandals through drought proofing programs. We have constructed 20 check dams, 10 percolation tanks, 24 mini percolation tanks, 15 renovated ponds, 240 farm ponds benefitting around 9,700 families.
Lodi strongly believes that generating collective energy of the youth would result in social transformation. Hence Lodi organizes various programs to bring forth the hidden talents and the potentials of youth. Lodi has organized non-formal courses for the benefit of the uneducated youth to provide them livelihood for their life. Lodi has supported the youth since last 30 years and trained around 4500 youth from 540 villages in skill development training programs like Jeep driving, motor winding, computers, type writing, TV, radio mechanism, House wiring, Tailoring, embroidery, surf and phenyl making, Jjute bag making, modern office assistant, Beautician, car driving, carpentry mobile hardware etc.
Therefore the programs are organized for the youth in leadership, personality development, spiritual animation, health issues, HIV/AIDS, government schemes, legal literacy, savings, credit management, IGA programs, environment protection, plantation program, conflict-management and career guidance, life skills, career guidance, dairy development etc.
