The city of ‘Lodi’ in Italy offered to finance a model farm which could be a model for farmers, place for training and source of income. The land was purchased in Naidupet, Khammam that was part of Warangal Diocese then. Therefore a registered society was thought for this purpose and registered in the name of LODI who were supported financially first. The “Lodi Multipurpose Social Service Society” was registered on 1st February, 1966 to give a legal backing for the developmental work. It was started by Rev. Fr. Augusto Colombo PIME.
